Toronto Police are investigating reports of a break-in after a teenage girl said she woke up to find a naked man in her bedroom Saturday morning.
The 13-year-old told police she found the man hiding under her bed, saying he ran out of her room when she woke up. There are reports he left his clothes behind as he fled, while the girl's mother called the police.
Police have described the suspect as a black male who is about 20 years old.
Officers canvassed the area around Don Mills Road and Sheppard Avenue shortly after the incident but suspended their search at about 8:30 a.m. There is no word on whether they have apprehended or interviewed a suspect.
Neighbours told CP24 they awoke to chilling screams and the sound of someone running through the house.
Police say they are treating the incident as a break-in.
