ARREST IN TTC STALKINGS
A man has been charged after two women were stalked on the TTC and then mugged as they walked home.
A woman, 24, was assaulted on Sept. 25 after she got off a Cummer Ave. bus at Pineway Blvd., police said. She was knocked to the ground by a thug who fled with her purse.
On Oct. 14, a 29-year-old woman was followed from the North York Centre station to Bloor and east to the Pape station. A man who sat across from her on the Pape bus exited with her at a stop. He grabbed her throat and forced her to the ground but was left empty-handed.
Omar Baig Mirza, 27, also known as Kim Mirza, was arrested Wednesday and is charged with robbery and possessing stolen property.
